Sunset at Sandybrook, 2026. Oil pastel, acrylic pens, oil medium, charcoal and hand-applied 3D pen plastic. Framed, 91 × 65 cm. Recycled frame · 10% to charity.

This was a place where we buy art supplies in Jersey, a shop called Paper Clicks. One day I was there and there was a sunset, and I was in a very good mood. I took the photograph thinking Sandybrook looked magical, which it does. However, the photograph didn't express that, so I repainted it to be the magical, beautiful place it is.

About the frames: my frames are mostly second-hand, rescued from charity shops and sometimes the rubbish pile. Small scratches, scuffs, fading and light damage are intentional: a nod to the past, and to the millions of images people have chosen to display in their homes to communicate who they are. The recycling may show. That's part of what makes each piece an original, and part of the story. Small print

The surface catches the light and changes as you move about. A photo can't do that. Get in touch and we'll sort out a visit.
