This was painted after COVID. The digital image was created during COVID and finished later. It was about how during COVID it was like hurry up and slow down. Panic and do nothing. Work hard at relaxing. And so that's what it was — working hard at doing nothing. The skies had no airplane trails in them. There were no cars. Nothing was happening.

About the frames: my frames are mostly second-hand, rescued from charity shops and sometimes the rubbish pile. Small scratches, scuffs, fading and light damage are intentional: a nod to the past, and to the millions of images people have chosen to display in their homes to communicate who they are. The recycling may show. That's part of what makes each piece an original, and part of the story. Small print
