This is art, it's not rubbish, 2025. Acrylic paints and rubbish I picked up while walking home one day. Framed, 46.5 × 37.5 cm. Recycled frame · 10% to charity.

I made this from rubbish I picked up on a walk, while I was thinking about art. It's half of a pair. The other half is This is rubbish not art.

About the frames: my frames are mostly second-hand, rescued from charity shops and sometimes the rubbish pile. Small scratches, scuffs, fading and light damage are intentional: a nod to the past, and to the millions of images people have chosen to display in their homes to communicate who they are. The recycling may show. That's part of what makes each piece an original, and part of the story. Small print
