This is also painted for an exhibition because I value imperfection in artwork. When everybody is anti-artificial intelligence creating art, they want humans to create art, but they still want it to be perfect. I think that as humans, we are all imperfect, and this is what needs to be cherished. Imperfection is the sign it's made by humans, and it's intentionally written the way a spell check would correct it, in colours that an AI would not decide to use. So I tried to make something blatantly made by humans as an antidote to people accusing me of using artificial intelligence, which always happens.
About the frames: my frames are mostly second-hand, rescued from charity shops and sometimes the rubbish pile. Small scratches, scuffs, fading and light damage are intentional: a nod to the past, and to the millions of images people have chosen to display in their homes to communicate who they are. The recycling may show. That's part of what makes each piece an original, and part of the story. Small print
