About my process.

The first element of my work is salience, being aware of what I consider salient in any environment. 

What or who draws my attention.

Then the background, what does the background say about the person

Then how is it framed, what are the edges of the composition.

Where is the shadow.

Where is the light.

Where should the focus be.

What is the moment

Then I adjust the image to communicate the emotion I was feeling

And this is how I create art from photographs.
